I read this prequel first, i was surprised at how engrossing it was, you felt that you were on the front line waiting for your target to arrive. Too bad; The only problem with the book is it is very short, not really a book but a short story. I wanted it to continue. I just ordered the assassin the first book, to my surprise it also is a short story about half the size of this book. I didn't look at the length when ordering or i wouldn't have spent the money. Amazon should have a page limit for what they call a book. Charging me the same amount that i pay for a 300 or 500 page book is just not right. I will get my money back from Amazon and move onto other authors who really put a effort into completing there work.Product details

If your reading level is at a junior high level you may like this book. Not much of a story
A great read! It filled in a number of the blanks from the first book by Joyce. I'm anxiously awaiting the next in the series which I hope will fill in the rest of the blanks.
Very descriptive and well written novel. Had to read the whole story in one sitting. Just couldn't put it down. A must read.
